I was in the 7th or 8th grade, went to my homies crib to shoot hoops

we go inside & this video was on MTV

1st time hearin of them & til this day is the only time I've heard 1 song from a new artist (or at least one I've never heard of) & had to get the album

& I'm proud to say 16yrs later I still own my copy... got damn that makes me sound old af smh

Yeah this was the 1st time I'd heard Talib or Hi-Tek. Shit was on instant repeat when I heard it. instantly became a fan of Hi-Tek. Couldn't tell me his verse on here wasn't flames plus the beat too...classic song

This song put me onto Kweli and Rawkus in general. I was 14 and it changed my life by giving me something other than the pop shit that was all over the radio and BET/MTV at the time. I still have the hard copy of Train of Thought on cd.

You know when you go back and listen to a song and you instantly remember where you were and what you were doing when you first heard it? This is one of those songs. Just a great feel good song and my favorite Talib album of all time. Im listening to this today
