I'm not disagreeing with what you said. All I said is that there are demonic forces that work behind the scenes. Man is always responsible for our own actions. For example, Judas will not get off the hook for betraying the LORD Jesus Christ, even though the Bible tells us that Satan actually possessed him when he did it. Likewise, Adam Lanza, will not be off the hook for what he did, even if he was under demonic influence or possession. Adam, like all mankind, has a will to either obey the truth or disobey the truth. Thus his choices will reap their just rewards on the last day. Amen.

So... because I don't "serve" Jesus Christ, I'm a "slave" to whatever religion I do follow (none)? OK...

I said all that to say this... no matter what religion, people have morals and values. But not even the strictest sects can persuade a man to keep those values if he chooses to abandon them. I've seen the most devout Christians do the most heinous shit. Kids get killed in the middle east, and it's all in the name of the same God you worship. And you can chalk it up to them not believing enough or believing the wrong thing or whatever, but really it's a testament of their own character. No amount of church could've stopped this dude from doing what he did. It's human nature, and this is what happens when someone stops giving a fuck about life.

No religion on planet earth can change the sin nature that indwells every living soul on this earth. The same sin nature that was in Adam Lanza dwells in me also. The same sin nature that was in Hitler dwells in me also. The same sin nature that was in Timothy McVeigh dwells in me also. Etc. Etc. Etc.

What separates me from those that I mentioned is my confession and belief in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. That is not a "religion" my friend. It's a personal, day by day, relationship with the King of the Universe. It has nothing to do with "religion". After all religion is mans attempt to get to God. Jesus Christ is God coming down to man. Therefore when you place your faith in Him, sin no longer has dominion over you because a believer has been set free from sin.

Every human being will 1 day stand before God to be judged. On that day, God will show all of His created intelligences who had true faith in Him and who did not. So the case examples that you provided will be exposed on that last day, but your life will also be exposed for ALL to see. And if you don't know Jesus Christ on that day, how terrible that exposure will be. Therefore I implore you to work out your OWN salvation with fear and trembling, by turning to the LORD Jesus Christ, who will present you blameless before God on that great day! Amen.
