I'm not from ny but I will say the perception I get is they truly care about basketball there. The Knicks ain't been shit for years but the franchise is still among the top grossing teams in the leagues. The people in New York seem to truly care about the game. And the greatest basketball player of all time in my opinion was born and raised in New York. Kareem. Not sure if that was said yet but there you have it. I don't like the Mecca shit and New York does try to take credit for starting everything but I gotta give credit where credit is due.
