How old were you when you moved out?

22.

10 months after I graduated undergrad, I left. Had to. Couldn't live with moms and my sister beefin every day. It would've been earlier, but I had to put up 90% of the $4K needed to get out.

I should've taken the master bedroom for that shit, but I knew my people needed the space. Plus, by then, I just wanted OUT.

Never came back. Then, when I moved out of state, I vowed to never move back there either. I get not-so-subtle inquiries to come home....they just get laughed at.

i was 19, my mother was super strict and i was tired of it. first i rented a room for about six months then once the new semester started i got a place with my then boyfriend (now husband) and that was it, never went back

what's funny is, i really didn't have no intentions of moving out, but i was telling my mom, like i'm 19, i work, got to school, am very responsible, like how much sense does it make i gotta ask you for permission to go to the movies even? and she tried to call my bluff, like if you don't like it, you can move, and i was like okay lol. she even told my brother, like watch she'll be back in two weeks

I was 21. I went back to EMU that fall, got kicked out due to my grades, and my moms was like "Well, I'll come and get you..." and I basically said "Nah, b... I'mma get my own apartment". My lil sis was going to EMU with me and I just crashed in her dorm room until me and my boys found a spot just off campus.

@kai cmon now. Be thankful you didnt get honor killed.

I just turn 20 a week ago and still living with my peoples. It's a good though cause there really supportive. It's a real luxury of having African parents cause they try to show you the steps you need to succeed in life. Like I stated earlier, their are very supportive and encouraging so if I need they got me. I do plan on moving out in about 2-3 years from now. I'll be a graduate by then, and will be on my way.

Wow, you had an experience similar to mine. When I moved out I rented a room out too, but I did it for two years. Also when I moved out, my mom said to her bum ass bf, "she'll be back." 9 years later, I still haven't went back.

27 and the only reason I moved out then is I met my wife then girlfriend/fiance and we bought a house.

I loved it to be honest I stacked my cash and came and went as I pleased, my parents only had one rule and that was no sex in their house; I didn't mind getting hotel rooms and going to their houses anyway when I wanted sex I actually preferred it.

It's kinda frowned upon in the Black culture due to a group think mentality in the societal culture but look at the Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans, etc. all of them stay at home generally until they are married it ain't nothing to have 4-5 adults under one roof they stack their money, split the bills, and everybody wins.

Most people 18-25 with no degree aren't making no real money like that unless they're a hell of a entrepreneur, college grad, or work an oil field job or something along those lines. Other than that people in that age range aren't making 80K or more generally.

See this that fuck shit. Since when was I arab and Pakistani? Haha. The worst thing you can call a Muslim is an arab and you know that.

My family full of athiests and communists though. Not just immediate, extended too, so we dont fuck with religion like that.

I didn't get the chance to "move out". Pops just put the crib up for sale and dipped to Texas on my ass when I was 19

Damn that's crazy. So what did you end up doing after that happened? Did you get your own place?

My parents moved to Louisiana the same day I graduated high school. Pops said he did his job making sure I finished school. So him and mom's moved because my little brother was starting to act up.

This is my plan. My girl is finishing her nursing degree. If things get serious I wanna just move out and into my own spot w/ her. Renting is a waste of money if you do not need to do it

Turkish is worse than arab for me. Im Kurdish, hence my family being full of communists and athiests.

But yea, we all get lumped together. But so do africans @kai. Its a shame but its hilarious when it happens.

Wore out my welcome at a few women's spot bringing unnecessary drama puttin them in dangerous situations, eventually settled in with my aunt, a damn saint of a woman, who had 6 kids of her own, 2 of them grown, still living at home also who let me stay rent free for a few months.

Once I realized I was real dirtbag type nigga for how I was livin and LA was gettin way too hot for me at that time I ended up in the Air Force a month before my 21st bday and been on my own ever since

I'll say for my daughters when they grow up they'll always have a room rent free at my house so long as they workin/in school and ain't thottin it up.

Last thing I want for them to be gettin finessed by some slick scumbag nigga like I was doin these hoes who moved out early tryin to be grown
