17, and I only waited that long because my immigration status was sketchy. Literally the DAY I got my shit together I made an appointment to the DMV. There is no way to explain the convenience of having your own car vs. relying on public transportation. So many advantages its not even funny. Especially in High School, once you have that transpo, nobody can tell you shit!
