How is Trey Songz on top of RnB when he's Never gone Platinum ? What about Usher ?

Trey Songz is an average talent, who gets hyped for whatever reason.The nigga can't sing. Usher sings better, Neyo sings better, Chris Brown sings better, Mario sings better, Lloyd sings better etc. Dude is popular because girls think he looks good. SMH at niggas thinking songs like LOL and Say Aah are good songs. Also, the only reason Trey Songz is even hot right now, is because niggas started blackballin' Chris Brown after he beat Rihanna. Think about it, all his songs sound like something Chris Brown would do, from I Need A Girl to Say Aah.

Well for one, Trey can't go platinum because he suffers from Gucci syndrome: His target market is blacks. So even though every bitch and prolly most of the niggas you know would stan Trey and dickride the shit out of him till they vomited his semen, he won't sell that much cause that market isn't that big, and they're not really buying albums. He's probably the best crooner out hands down though, he has that craft down pact. He is not the best singer though.

As for Chris Brown being better..... yes and no. Post-Graffiti Chris is my favorite R&B guy right now. But not because of his true Rnb tracks. Let's be real, Chris is a terrible crooner. He lacks the delivery and is too immature to make something as smooth as Neighbors Know My Name like Trey can. Listen to Chris's Invented Sex cover on In My Zone and some of the slower songs. It was awful. The best he can do is sound "cute" to crowds older than teenyboppers. He just outgrew that demographic.

What Chris does have is...energy. I speak for a lot of people when I say that among old Chris singles Run it, Gimme That and Wall to Wall round out as favorites. Chris can just make certain tracks come alive cause of his enthusiasm and energy. Now that RnB is shunning him, he got to flex that ability on the Fan of a Fan mixtape. Holla at Me gets plenty spins at parties. Though he has some cornball writing, his presence on tracks like G-Shit, or I Get Around is irreplaceable.
