First real quiet and shy. Then goofy and nerdy. Truth is somewhere in between.

I can be around a lot of people,. but not say a word unless someone says something to me. I like listening more than speaking, and people think I don't know about something b/c i'd rather listen to someone else's opinion. Truth is, i like to let people just talk b/c they are usually wrong and when i correct them, they think i'm starting an argument or coming off as confrontational.

But when I open up, i'll let them make jokes about me b/c i don't really give a shit. Like last week, my boy at the clinic was popping jokes at my expense about how i was supposedly flirting with one of the nurses. I went along and let it go all day b/c it was funny.

But when i open up, they also think i'm nerdy b/c i like to talk and explain a lot of scientific things. Like, this girl i intern with at the clinic was talking about memory, so i corrected her and explained how the processes the brain uses to memorize information easier. She's an intern like me, but had the nerve to ask me how I would know something like that. My answer: "i read". I think it came off as confrontational to her, even though I was just being blunt. Plus, saying blunt shit like that was normal when I grew up, even as a joke. She grew up in Backwardsville, NC, so I can see how she wouldn't understand that kind of humour.

But now they think i'm kind of goofy and nerdy, even though i'm just able to partake in jokes about me and spend a lot of time reading.

I don't think I'm perceive as a G. so they think it means I can't fight. I think it's a false perception of what G is. Also I never claimed to be one. I think it's mixed perception, because I say I'm from the streets that I'm saying it because I want to be a G. I'm simplifying clarifying why I communicate the way I communicate not trying to scare anyone or say that I'm a G. I say I come from that type family. I say my relationship life is that type. its a mixture of a couple elements

I have a engaging personality as some put it, and i dont really realize it until someone points it out

I am charismatic naturally for whatever reason, naturally funny, like I can see the humor in any situation and most of the time I use humor to relax myself and just to have fun

So alot of times ppl tend to not take me seriously, and they think I'm a clown or some shit just because I like to have fun, when they don't realize is that I am more complex than what meets the eye

the people that get to know me for who I truly am, know that I'm one of a kind as far as a young black man is concerned

I've gotten some guy I know say I am the smartest black guy he knows, others from my high school days think im violent and have a short temper, while some say I am one of the most laid back people they know, and I've had people actually ask do you even get mad, which is by far the most retarded question I've ever been asked
