Had a dude at work who did that and couldn't deal with the shit unless I prepared before hand. Some days couldn't deal with that shit at all. Dude would take over meetings with a slow, yet preachy tone. He somehow mastered the art of not saying anything substantial and repeating himself.

Shit was brutal.

My advice ? None if it's work, and it's your manager, since I curse MFs out.

Outside of that, tell the MF wrap the shit up, you got other shit to do.

If its somebody I know and like I'll just ignore it. I'm good for putting the phone down or just tuning most of the shit out.

if it's somebody you want to get to know then direct the conversation to something more interesting.

Some people are just talkative, they don't mean any harm so I don't feel the need to be rude...unless they are being rude.

by consequence my daughter is the same way.. lil girl can talk.. even in her damn sleep she be talkin.. her.. like old people i stall out..

we back and forth to LA alot which is like a 3/4hr drive from Vegas.. i wait til she's either sleep or about to sleep before we ride out.. cause if not thats 3/4 hrs of her talkin to me.. and no.. not asking questions like normal 3 yr olds.. jus talkin to me.. and askin me to ask her stuff so she can answer. smmfh shit drives me crazy!!

At work i deal with alot of cat that will talk my ear off .. that call me 10 times a day. one is a old dudee comes off as a abrasive in tone i get him.. thats just the way he sounds yadda.. yadda but he will tell me about this problems at work all damn day if you let him... so say hey man i gotta work.. because the time wasted speaking to cats on the phone is putting me behind from doing my damn job. he knows thought he cuts himself off and says i know i know your busy lol.

Outside of work dont have to deal too much with that shit.. generally i like motherfukers to get down to the nitty gritty of shit i hate people that like to hear themselves talk. If we talkin about some real shit and there is some back an forth cool.. Be concise and too the point and actually say some shit.
