Huh? You didn't know that that's how labels (not just Atlantic) have worked for a long time?

For instance all these tracks below and a bunch of others I can't rememeber are all the same song. And they are all produced by Alex the Kid and either feature or were written by Skyler Grey.

Artists are always given tracks to be their singles. It's not really anything new.

Eminem's Love the Way You Lie

B.O.B.'s Airplanes

Diddy's I'm Coming Home

Dr. Dre's I Need a Doctor

Lupe's Words I Never Said

3 of those artist are Atlantic based artist (Puff, Lupe, and BoB) and i don't know where you get this artist are given singles bullshit from. If that was the case, the music business would be doing this for all their artist right about now

yeah it's on all parties Atlantic trying to make money bottom line. they got a format to making money and so far it has worked. then you have to blame the artists who says ok lets ride with this formula. they knew when they signed to a major like Atlantic you are gonna be forced into a mainstream box . we do need to realize that some of these artists are just in it for the money just like the label. they put on a front for the fans but in reality they just want the paper and the fame. forget artistic integrity. everybody is to blame the label the artists all the execs fans who soak the shit up. everybody it's part of the game

Diggy Simmons music is gone sound like that no matter what. He's a 16 year old spoiled brat with little to no life experience to speak of.

I feel like its just a fad in rap music. Just like the "bling bling", "gangsta rap", "conscious rap" era's this will too go away eventually.

This has been on my radar for a while now; ever since I found out that B.O.B. was caking off of Lupe's sloppy seconds.

IMO its the death of artistic integrity and creativity. It's one thing to make the music the label wants you to make, its another to have the label spoon feed you beats, concepts, and hooks.

How you gonna make rebel music when it's written by a 20 year old white chick and signed off on by a 50 year old suit?

As long as that's the m.o. at Atlantic I won't be supporting anything they release.

How dare you question this young man! He had to endure such embarrassment as having daddy pick him up from the school bus stop in a Mercedes Maybach. Threw a hissy fit about it. Trials and tribulations, B.

its Maybach Music Rick Ross voice lol ....... really interested to see if he falls in this category after making all this street music ... now signing with a label that pushes a more pop sound ......... if rick starts doing tracks like that then they are def not allowing creative control to thier artist .......
