yo I had to get past that dumb phase too....I was on some "I don't wanna push my body too hard so I'ma just stay right here" shit...it wasn't no 3 hrs of cardio though lol

But I can't believe, that you thought you could go your whole life, and eat the way you did when you were 15/16 on a consistent basis and NOT see any change. That's ludicrous. That wouldn't work in any other area of life, so why would it with nutrition?

You keep mentioning this 15/16 stuff.... I was thick when I was 15/16...I wore a size 8 and getting bigger.. I'm actually smaller now then I was at that age.. Now I'm a size 2.

One time when I peaked I gave up soda and lost 12 in 2 weeks but I use to have a soda with every meal. :(

I don't like running on treadmills. I don't like how my feet feel when on it and they actually do make me feel restricted and for all that, I will continue running outside being one with nature. There I can flare my arms, up, down, do some punches and look slightly insane all the while doing it. That's how you know you're targeting the right muscles and burning calories. Can't be bothered with looking "cute" while in the zone. Although my personal trainer would talk my ear off, hit on me and then ask me out :/ This is why he is my former trainer :(

This girl I know.. works out from time to time, but her eating habits are inconsistent.

leave football practice and head to the chinese food spot and cop some chicken and pok fwy wice....man my coach hated me b....I used to eat mcdonalds hotcakes every saturday morning before stretches

Cause trends usually have a starting point. So I keep using high school as a reference point for weight loss/weight gain to gauge improvement/declines.

And you are an example of a person who broke out of the mindstate that doing nothing changes something. Kudos!

How can you see change when youre comforted by food? Eating addiction is real, bro. You just cant get up and say, "Im not going to have an extra serving ever again from today." It take months to say, "No." It takes months to really enjoy the taste of an organic cucumber, tomato, steamed corn without butter, eat food with 2 grams of sugar of less.

A lot of black women do not know how to properly eat food and have the mindset of eat to live; not live to eat. We as americans, over consume on food and to be honest, I have more money in my pocket from eating less.

Plus, I wasnt a size 15/16. More like 20/22.

I am currently a size 12/14. However, I am 5'7 and I weigh 210 right now ( lost 5 pounds, holla!)

What's important is that's what you used to do. Soda is just trouble. Thankfully I don't even like it but I get how so many like to drink it especially alongside salty foods.
