The fact that she tried to take her daughter from spending time with you, the even more significant fact that your daughter refused to stay and wanted to leave with you speaks depths.
How old is your daughter? Has your child's mother even called you names in front of her? Ever bad mouthed you in any way to your daughter that you are aware of?

My baby is 8. Last summer when I went to pick the baby up she saw the car I was rolling in and went ballistic, I had the baby in the back seat and she gets to saying how I get a new car (not even new, just a BMW) and she never saw me in it. She gets to screaming about the baby needed new shoes (I knew that already and we had a Saturday trip planned, this was only Wed) then I just put the baby in the car and drove off, she literally chased me down the street running along the sidewalk calling me all types of muthafuckas, my mama not shit, my daddy not shit, I'm a little dick muthafucka and all that. The next day I took the baby to my sis house she brought the police up to the job, went to my sister house, clowned over there then took the baby back down south that Friday

Been there done that. At first they were out of state, now they back but she lives 20 mins away and the baby goes to school across the street from her house, I work long hours so that shit is iffy

You know you could have it enforced that no parent can bad mouth the other in the child's presence? I mean, you can make it legal and if it is broken, there would be appropriate measures taken but this is not healthy for that child.
That child is 8? That princess is by far smart enough to see and know the truth and reality of things. Her mother won't sway her and I am sure a child won't believe things just because they are said being that you are present in her life and she can see fact over fiction.

Even a toddler begins to see the truth, they just arent able to put the pieces together and understand it. I could only imagine your daughter and what SHE has to go through.

That is left up to the parents to be responsible which often isn't the case on both ends which is why legal enforcement can become necessary.
It comes down to a matter of custody often times, that is when this is usually granted. with custody there can be conditions especially with visitations. If one party does not follow these "rulings" or "conditions", there can be repercussions.

I personally do not like involving the "system" as while it can work great to your advantage in some cases, overall we know that it is messed up.
However, do what YOU need to do. Only YOU know the real terms your child's mother and you are on. If you cannot communicate with her in a civil manner for the sake of the child, you did as much as you could. Continue taking care of her, love her and just be there for her. Don't devote any energy to her mother, it takes away from the only important thing involved, your lil girl.

Either way, hope everything works out for your daughter's best interest which ultimately is also yours.
