I remember when Jin had next. He won the Freestyle Friday battles on BET and had a song produced by Kanye West. But as far as I know he didn't make an album.

There's a lot of Asians in America and there's a billion people in China alone. (and for that matter there's a billion people in India). Do they produce Hip Hop and we just don't consume it, or is it that they don't produce Hip Hop at all?

I think part of it may be an image thing. Asians are usually shorter than Blacks and Whites. If a 6 foot White person has a hard time getting on, a five foot two Asian might have a harder time than the White boy. And I'm being serious, I'm not trying to insult anybody because of their nationality or ethnicity.

He had like 5 albums... no one wanted to learn Chinese...

Btw this Korean chick claims she "raps better than Black kids"

There not many Asian American musicians period it isn't just hip-hop

Slept on post. Im actually just now noticing this as well. I'd still rather see an influx of Asian MCs then these suburban Caucasians we're getting these days.

Really? It seems like if he had the right marketing and promotion he could have blown up. Also, It seems like he'd be able to bring something new to the table as far as content is concerned like the way Eminem was able to bring something new on "White America" or "Sing For The Moment".

You're probably not seeing it. They're immensely popular oversees in Asian countries. I remember Jin couldn't get any play here in America but he's extremely popular in Asia. So the bolded is most likely true.

There's plenty of dope underground Asian MC's, I can name a grip from the West off the top of my head

But yea it's crazy there's none in the mainstream

Also even when there are Asian cats with some skill like this dude.

It still pales in comparison to any mid-level Black rapper. It's like what's the point?

He wasn't bad. with the right marketing and promotion (and a better video) You could probably market him to the mainstream. If I had money to burn I'd put him in the studio with Just Blaze or DJ Premiere and see what happens.
