How Come Rappers Don't Rap Like This Any More?

If I say, "todays rappers slur their words and use auto tune" the first thing anybody will say is, 'stop listening to the radio, there's other stuff out there but you just have to find it"

But the thing is, I'm not talking about the rap on the radio, I'm talking about the stuff people post on the IC. I listen to 105.3 WDAS in Philadelphia. They play 70s and 80s soul, R&B and old school Hip Hop. So as far as the radio is concerned I'm satisfied with what they play. No complaints there.

The stuff I'm talking about is the stuff that gets posted HERE on the IC. Don't respond to my post by saying, "turn off the radio". I'm not talking about the stuff on the radio, I'm talking about what you guys are posting here.

Back to Back is a good example of what I'm talking about. People are saying its the GOAT diss and goes hard in the club. But he's either using auto tune or he has a really nasal voice. I can't tell. I don't know if the way he drags out words is his style or if everybody is doing it.

I listened to them. It's ok, but nothing close to what Rakim was spitting in 1990.
