Wayne CAN rap and is one of the best at it...he just takes the art of it and makes it his own instead of doing it like everybody else....some people just hate change and just concludes that he CANT rap....but its probably becuz most of what he says goes right over their heads.

Its crazy isn't it? He worked so hard to distance himself from the "Wobbly Wobbly" image, only to reach a certain status and stop caring. I was listening to Carter one, then switched to Carter 3 and was almost in disbelief. It's like he doesn't even try now a days. I understand reaching a certain status and getting comfortable, but a line must be drawn. Jay and Em reached heights and many people said they fell of musically (in relation to albums mainly). However, you will never catch neither one dropping wack verse after wack verse after wack verse. I guess that's what separates the greats from those that are just........good...

i was the first one out of anyone i know who was on Wayne. and i think that everyone should have the "best rapper alive" mentality, because if you believe it then your music will be better. carter 2 is the best wayne cd ever IMO. but now i think he feels like he doesnt need to prove anything anymore. he was being called the best rapper alive when all he was doing was putting out mixtapes. hes turning into nothing but a punchline rapper and his flow is gone. hes not even coherent in most of his shit. im not saying that he isnt a solid lyricist when he wants to be but IMO he needs to start writing rhymes again and stop putting shitout just to put shit out. alot of people think that if a verse has a clever simile or something that it was a great verse and since all wayne does anymore is try to be clever, normal listeners (not real hip hop fans), think he is a savior.
