Fuck an emotional investment. Only piece of land I'm invested in is the financial investments I make in the form of my mortgage and property taxes.

It gets even worse WITHIN the cities. No one's united really. At best we just avoid each other and stay out each other's way. At worst, people engage in turf wars and gangbanging over street signs and invisible property lines that some fat, rich white man prolly owns.

i don't hate NY, i don't love NY. these cities are just places, that we live in. it's all about how the city benefits you & yours @ the end of the day.

if some where else is better, then it's off to the next city.

I love DC, there's certain things you can only get here and the culture here is very unique...but I'm not attached to the point I couldn't leave...I plan on leaving soon and i'll miss certain shit you can only get here (mambo sauce, go-go music, horace & dickie's fish, seafood from the warf) but in terms of the city itself, nah i don't get mad if people diss it/don't like it...DC's not a city for everyone

I was raised in the biggest, most southerly positioned city the south has to offer.. Home to the 8th wonder of the world, $350 pounds, & Screwed out basslines.. Our city name was the 1st official word spoken on the moon so it's only right that we subsequently introduced the world to ZZ Top, SLABs, & sippin' lean.. Then Houston became the first major city to elect an openly lesbian mayor... Way back, I use to tell myself that this muthafucka couldn't get any further ahead of the pack.....
