What is the line that separates predictable and consistent? I think some of these rappers are only "consistent" because they are so predictable. We know exactly what they are going to bring to the table, but it is not necessarily a good thing.

Being consistent is putting out quality on a constant basis, or by dictionary definition - unchanging in achievement. It has nothing to do with predictability.
