I remember back in the day the IC had a "School Me On Some Hip Hop" thread where people would come in and ask questions about shit. The thread was real informative, and as a young nigga I learned quite a lot. What ever happened to that thread? It was GOAT.

What started the beef between Keith Murray and Prodigy before the "I Shot Ya?" disses?

The skit in the infamous where p was talking bout all you ousterspace weirdo rappers talking bout how much weed you smoke and all of that other crazy bullshit,etc bout to start back on that ole high school shit start punching niggas in the face just for living thing..

Keith Murray thought they was talking bout redman and confronted him at a club about it and smacked up p in front of the entire crowd.

At the time everyone assumed p was talking bout both meth and red.

Can someone explain how rappers get paid for appearing on each others album when it looks like they are on some "give me a verse for my album and Ill give you a verse for your album". I always wondered how that worked with artists like Drake, Ross, 2Chainz, Lil Wayne, etc that do a lot of songs together even though they are on different labels

I'd guess it's a way to save money. Trade verses with someone you would want on your album anyway, and you don't have to pay them.

Cuts down on album costs, and puts a little more money into their own pocket.

From what I recall the bad blood between them started because Junior Mafia & The Firm started going at each other, so naturally despite being friends earlier in life, they had their respective groups backs. Also I think Foxy jacked something Kim did and had it on her album.
