High school teams in Washington are forfeiting rather than play school with NFL-sized talent

A lot.of these parents don't want their kid playing football anymore in the first place.

You got kids getting life changing injuries and some even dying (dehydration, heat stroke etc) to make the team. So football is potentially dangerous before the ball is even snapped.

Add that to these guys who are legit NFL size its a recipe for trouble.

Personally, I think you got to play the schedule you were given but that isn't my kid either..

Opposing teams are refusing to play against Archbishop Murphy High School's football team in Washington state. 18 of them weigh more than 200 pounds. (Reuters)

In its first three games, Archbishop Murphy’s football team outscored its opponents 170-0. Now opponents of the Everett, Wash., private school powerhouse aren’t even trying to beat them.

Literally.

With the latest opponent forfeiture, this one coming Wednesday by Granite Falls High, the Wildcats will move to 6-0, with their last three victories occurring without even having to play a down.

The reason? The Wildcats are just too huge.

Archbishop Murphy has six players who weight at least 250 pounds and three who weigh at least 300 pounds, according to CBS News.

Granite Falls held a community meeting in the school’s library Tuesday due to the injury concerns raised by parents, despite the school’s athletic director wanting to go through with the game, according to Seattle’s NBC affiliate KING 5. Archbishop Murphy team dominated the Tigers by scores of 66-6 in 2015 and 56-7 in 2014.

i played ball at highschool level..

was pretty good.. better in basketball tho..

anyways.. i came up in a good system for pop warner and went to a highschool that wasnt so great so bg sophmore i was playin on Varsity.. i was small commin up played safety.. by my senior yr the niggas on my team wasnt fuckin wit me so during hitting drills id go hit wit the linebackers and lineman.. some of the niggas had me by damn near a hundred pounds..

of course when my stubborn ass soundin like some in this thread was takin on all commers.. turnin down no fades.. when it came to the linebackers i banged wit the rest of them.. and i wish i would get out of line to avoid a lineman..

now of course the lineman took it easy on my lil ass but i was tryin to kill them.. this one cat in particular who was highly recruited went D1 i was in line wit.. man i tried to rock his ass.. ended up missin half the season to a lower back injury and all that nigga did was basically stand there..

long story short my back still gets tight on me when i do strenuous shit..

so me goin thru that i understand these parents concern..

like it says.. these kids want to play them wit they dumb ass.. but since when do we as adults and even parents allow our kids to make decisions that can affect them for the rest of their lives??

this "super team" is a team full of bitch niggas and a punk coach.. there's teams all around the country that would love to play them.. but they rather pick on the tiny programs to make them feel better about themselves..

fuck that i remember having to cover Jason Avant in high school......my high school team had bout 15 players who essentially played 4 ways ...niggas literally never got out the game...and we still played any and everybody

Cause real talk... These coaches trying to make it to minor leagues or college and do not give a fuck about your kids.

We must have been big as Fuck my last few years in high school... Cuz that wasn't uncommon at all in Mississippi.. Brookhaven, McComb, south pike, them big ass coast schools, Wayne county, south Panola, Madison central, Shiddddd even tylertown and Terry with Anthony Dixon 250lb ass had teams like that with a bunch of dudes over 200lbs.. Tylertown just last year had 3 kids on the line that were 6'5 280+ and they are a 3a(small school) ..thats not even counting schools like picayune, west Jones, hattisburg, oak grove

I was on a coast team, and remember us playing South Panola for the state championship. Used to call them the university of south panola. Sht, I thought we was a pretty good sized team at the time but them boys from Panola was a lil bigger and way faster than us. That boy Pegues ran all over our defense. We held our own tho.
