I dunno. I don't think I've ever seen a discussion like that. Usually people only discuss who's the best. He may not come up there, and for good reason, but people defenitly know who he is.

After Revolutions Per Minute, dude moved up IMO. He's always been dope, but to me, he really showed his versatility on that album. He's one of the few producers who have actually grown over the years rather than regress. He can do a hard beat like "Get In My Car" and then do something more laid back like "Ryder Music". He can come with a tribal sounding record like "Back Again" or he do something that's more soulful like "Ballad of the Black Gold" all on the same record.
