I actually took the time to read that, woohhhhhhhhh. Alright to your thread, i don't think you should use your limited experience to paint a whole industry as one way, which you clearly did. Maybe you are exactly what you are, a spoken word artist and not a good mc. Rapping is more than words, it's flow, delivery, presence,etc and alot of those spoken words artist lack that imo, well i personally can't stand them, they come off as pretentious as hell to me. Just continue to do you, i don't think anyone is holding you down, because there are plenty of poets in this rap shit doing their thing and no one is tryna hold them down. Jay Electronica is a perfect example!

since I feel that alot of people on here have been extra nosey, making up lies and jumping to conclusions about who this poster is heres the scoop.

Iam a writer who never wanted to be famous people wanted me to be. I never wanted to be famous because since 16 I knew the DEVIL was trying to make me famous. Back in the day I was spittin fun and people wanted me to get up in the rap game since I was a real female writer, I turned down offers because I felt kinda lury about the whole thing. Back in 01 I started doing SPOKEN WORD. I wasnt doing it to be FAMOUS, I just liked going to open mics venting speaking my mind, then by 02 I started BLOWING up real FAST as a SPOKEN WORD ARTIST. Everytime I said a peice, I GOT STANDING OVATIONS, and a bunch of connects would bumrush me after a show and ask me was I a FEMALE RAPPER. I would say no Iam not a RAPPER but I can rap. Alot of people started trying to push me to get up in the rap game, again because they felt that the GAME needed female rappers at the time, so I gave it a chance underground.

During my underground journery I ranned into some positive people and some snakes. Some people didnt like what I had to say as a female rapper, and ask me to change my style to be comparsion with foxy brown and lil kim. I would not. This one connect told me she could get me a deal but all I had todo is show her I can make three songs for EVERYONE. {I still don't know what that suppose to have meant} so I made 3 songs for the radio, and she did like them, and told me that I was good at SPOKEN WORD but I wasnt a GOOD RAPPER, {but when I was doing spoken word everyone kept asking me to be a rapper}..anyway she called a nigga in the room and told him to start rapping and he start spitting some wack shit real fast that didnt even mean shit, and the lady said see he's a rapper, you are a poet. So I asked her why was some of the best POETS then I referred to tupac and nas saying they were poets. The dumb trick said, well tupac is dead, and nas people don't really want to hear him anymore, and then started talking some jibbersh.

So I said let me reasearch this a lil further and see if this is really what I want to do.Then I came online and started giving my opinion on few things. From the time I've been online and during my offline journey, my name has got twisted up in some dumb ass groupie bullshit. I guess it's because people want me to be the groupie since I'm the one who rep positivity. After all the dumb shit, I realize I do not want to be a part of the hiphop thing, however Iam still a SPOKEN WORD ARTIST, under the name LADY LOVE, so if potential rappers is thinking about using that name, think again, I'm still using the name. I just perfer to be a artist in artform that RESPECT MESSENGERS, and HIPHOP is not allowing me to get my message accross without trying to FRAME me like I'm HATING and all this other dumb bullshit. Iam not jealous or mad at any successful artist, the shit is just not for me. The whole hiphop game was trying to hold me back and stunt my growth as a person. The whole SHE'S hating she JUST WANT THE TOP SPOT, from she's a groupie for such and such, and the wack rumors is just completely childish.

It's like they can not get why people like me speak out, so therefore let them think what they want. Hiphop dosent really need messengers, let them get their money until they SELF DESTRUCT, then they will see why people was speaking out trying to HELP ppl UNDERSTAND the right way. I never followed the footsteps of nicki minaj, I'm more like Nikki Giovanni. So since people like to run tell that and twist up shit I say on the net...somebody needs to tell KANYE AND JAYZ it was not me who put rumors out on them about them being in the illumanitii. It's just a bunch of bullshit rumors going around, because SOMEBODY want me killed, and want my life to be fucked up. & this is all because of the WAY I look because I favor your nicki minaj's and lil kims, but IAM NOT THEM. WE DO NOT HAVE THE SAME SPIRIT AND THATS WHAT IVE BEEN TRYING TO PROVE. Now it's just completely wack. I got a bigger mission then what it has been painted to be. I'm not downing hiphop, I'm downing the position ppl tried to put me in. A HOE OR GROUPIE is not how I GOT IN THE GAME, and it's not how IAM LEAVING IT. MY LEGACY WILL BE REVEALED ANOTHER TYPE OF WAY....
