Heated Van Gundy: "Jackson's take 'ignorant'"

Funny how this shit ceases to amaze me anymore.

Someone posted before the last great IC purge a list of Phil Jackson's mindfuckery comments about opposing players/coaches/teams/referees. In almost all cases, people moved in a favorable direction to what he was saying. I think this time the comment is so polarizing because everyone is thinking Pat's coming, but no one wants to be on record painting him as a snake. When he took over from VG, the Heat had an aging Shaq and D-Wade, but the first thought wasn't "Championship contenders" when looking at the Heat.

Fast forward to today.

All BS aside, the Heat are a few bench players, role players, and an identity away from multiple rings. On paper, the foundation that the big three represent is amazing. Pat potentially stepping in here is him blatantly ring hawking. He'll be vilified for cutting the legs off a young coach's career to add to an already impressive legacy. It's fine for Joe Blow Fantasy Leaguer to say the obvious, but Phil essentially went on record and fired shots. If anything, Pat will wait out this season to make it look like dude was given a fair shake.

but how is this Phil Jackson mind fuckery???

how is this Phil Jackson genius???

IS THIS NOT SHIT THAT HAS BEEN SAID SINCE THE HEAT LOST GAME 1 OF THE SEASON??? Stop attributing greatness to a person when it's unnecessary. Phil Jackson said the same thing my momma said 3 weeks ago.

There ain't no mind games here. It's pure fuckn common sense. If Reggie Miller said it, would it be genius??? If Mark Jackson said it??? If Kenny or Sir Charles said it??? No. So stop slurping that man.

u just proved my point: "it's classic phil jackson to say things that get under people skin"

hellooooo my nigga, Phil Jackson hasn't said anything that nobody else hasn't said already. It's just that its Phil Jackson that said it, that people wanna "catch feelings." Of course they are gonna react to Phil Jackson saying something. If you haven't noticed, SVG reacts to everything.

And why wouldn't he react in this situation. This wasn't Phil "trying to get under people's skin. Why isn't anybody bringing up the disrespect factor?

Ex: If you went out with a shorty and she cheated on you. And whenever a cheating relationship was mentioned and your friends said, "smh it's a copperkid situation all over again." Would you not react? Phil just spoke on another man's experience and that man reacted. Fair is fair.

Funny how ppl call Phil's comments "mind games" yet there's always some or a lot of validity to his statements....Why can't we just accept it as Phil just saying what's on his mind?

The media been saying that during the offseason. The heat are a Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman short of matching or breaking that record...

I agree with SVG. People are taking Phil's side just because of his rings (and some just because he's the Laker's coach) but that's like saying somebody knows everything about money just because they're rich. And if you believe that, go ahead and let Paris Hilton or George W. Bush handle your investment portfolio or do your taxes.

Not saying Phil is as dumb as them or dumb at all, but what he did was just unprofessional if nothing else. Speaking on somebody else's team when he's got his own team to focus on. Makes you wonder how much he "really" does as coach other than whistle and sit on the sidelines looking like he's bout to fall asleep.
