That was my point, everyone loves to gloat about NY falling off musically when NY is running the financial aspect of rap and nobody in the South is anywhere near Diddy and Jay overall status. Dre is from the West and he's still bigger than the biggest person from the south in Hip Hop Business. I give the south it's props for running the mid 2000's to basically now but they didn't produce many Classic albums in that period. New York has had the most dominate eras in the 80's and mid 90's to early 2000's, no region has dominated longer than NY overall. People are just trying to pile on NY cause again the game here has changed but we still running thing.

So Diddy being where he is has nothing to do with Biggie Legacy? Jay doesn't Bite Biggie rhymes on every single album since Big's death and use his Blueprint?, Ok , thought so. My only point is it really helps Big's legacy that 2 of his partners are where they are since he had a major impact on both of their careers. Wither he's the GOAT or not is obviously opinion but this is one aspect that does help his case the people associated with him and his career are still a major force in Hip Hop.

Diddy's business and Jay's business revolve around Hip Hop in some fashion. Rocawear and Sean Jean are both Hip Hop fashion brands that went mainstream. Chrioc is promoted mostly with Hip Hop artist. Jay Roc Nation deal has to do with music and Hip Hop. So it's false to say most of their business aren't Hip Hop related when the biggest businesses they have have to do with rap in some shape or from through music or promotion.
