Currently have and had family in the military.

What Trump supposedly said is exactly what I already think. At the same time I 100% know that its inappropriate to be said to a fallen soldier's family. Regardless of how true that statement is.

Yeah, about 50% of what I do for a job is with military folk. They all know what Trump said is true. What Trump said wouldn't have been so bad if it was directed to a more neutral party or after some time has passed, but only a jackass would make that comment to someone that close to the fallen while the wounds are still fresh.
