Am I the only one that finds it interesting that none of this shit would be going on if Robert had treated Cersei a little more like a wife. She already admitted that at one time she adored him, and even towards the end after all they had been through, you could tell she still cared for him.

Umm what? How would this play out any differently cuh?

Too much revisionist history.. King Robert would've had to treat her right from the beginning of their marriage. The moment Jaime Lannisters seed went into the Queens this shit was inevitable. Jon Arryn died for the same secret Ned went looking for. Joffrey can't be king and either Hand wouldn't have allowed it... Now none of this would've happened if the Mad King never killed Neds pops or brother and Rhaegar Targaryen never kidnapped Neds sister.. Roberts betrothed.. Haha... totally new book.

I always wonder if things would've played out differently if Cat didnt kidnap the Imp.

It was proably inevitable that the Lannisters & Starks would've went to war eventually, but perhaps it would've been a better outcome for Starks. Ned was left scrambling the minute he found out Cat had the Imp. Once Ned found out about the kids it seems inveviatable that he would give Cersi's the heads up, she would kill the king & Ned would be shit outta luck.

Is there are potential scenario where Ned the right thing and didnt get dealt for it? proably not

hahaha not directly but she did.

she made a few attempts on the King's life. You gotta pay attention. Cersi's nephews were the King's squires. Once Ned told Cersi and gave her time to bounce before the king back from hunting she set the wheels in motion. She set her cousins to 'fortify' his wine. So he was sloppy drunk when the boar attacked him. Varys said that Ned showed the Queen mercy there was no way the King was coming back from that hunting trip alive. It would be an 'accident' of some kind to take him out.

she also in a backwards why was trying to get the King to participate and the tournament and would have him die by 'accident'. Ned was the one that convinced not to participate cause he was too fat for his armor.

didnt think i was ruining anything since Varys laid it out in the last episode. Ned was always wary of the King being surrounded by Lannisters and even questioned who was on the trip and gave him wine.

I doubt it.. If Robert wasn't set up to get murked Ned would've told him of the incest.. I mean if Littlefinger would've actually had the gold cloaks side with Ned maybe the Lannisters would've conceded.. But I doubt that too, there too ambitious to not want control of the throne, especially when they were that close. Blood would've been shed in just about any scenario, just probably not as much if things would've happened differently.

The queen should've done a better job with the king in the bedroom.... "finishing him off in other ways"

Another thing I wanna know is, the king was already out with them dudes hunting when Ned told her what he knew so how could at that moment Cersei put the plan in motion? Dude was already not on the castle grounds.

I'm guessing she already wanted him outta the way but wanted to do it discretely and make it seem like an accident, so if it worked it worked if it didn't it didn't and another would be set in play.

But at that point she didn't know that Ned knew. It wasn't like as soon as she found out, she sent someone out there for them. The plan was already in motion BEFORE she knew that Ned knew her secret. Dude was already bound to get murked

LOL, read what I said.. "She already wanted him outta the way" (same thing pimp) it didn't matter that Ned hadn't confronted her yet... If Jon Arryn found out the secret, Ned would too.. I mean Ned damn near followed Jon's breadcrumbs to the secret..

Huh? I coulda sworn I meant that for someone else though. *shrugs* but yea you right the plan was already in motion. I think Ned telling her that he knew just sped the plan up a bit
