Slim thug an ross do it an jay do it he talks about buyin art but if you can barely buy a a 50cent cigarret why i wana listen to that...the reason trap rap money talk is big is big kus that seems plausiable

"I saw your reflection in a toilet full of vomit water

You don’t think I felt ya hand on my head yelling “Call his father”

But people don’t hear ghosts so how they gon' blame me

Money saved me so I’ma do the same thing"

Spank Pops from Frisco talks about stock markets a bit in some of his rhymes. I'll have to look up the songs. It's been a minute since I slapped some Spank Pops. He used to be one of my local favorites but he isn't very active lately in the rap game.

I found an example. "Self-disciplined that's how I mastered my thoughts/Fools can't remember the last thing they ate or they bought" from Make It

If you are have an entrepreneurial spirit, Nipsey should be your favorite rapper. Nigga preaches ownership and investing.

Thanks for the info.

I remember back in the late 80s and early 90s KRS was known as "The Teacher" but he never talked about investing and money management. Thats arguably the #1 thing you need to know to get out of the ghetto.

It's so many, but here's some recent ones:

"To all my ghost supporters, go support us

Like a local black-owned grocery store

‘Cause in the hood shit ain't passed down through blood

It's a dub on that, we get government aid

Spend it at they stores, puttin' they kids through college

We need balance

So we can lease and own deeds in our projects

So I'm askin' Gs to go in their pockets

The racial economic inequality, let's try to solve it"

- Nas, "Nas Album Done"

"It's time to clean up the ghetto, a dope boy wanna shine

Time to buy back the block, talkin' one brick at a time

I sold a few records, I bought me a Checkers

Wingstop well invested, so Taco Bell left for breakfast

I seen a few M's, it's time to touch me that 100

So let's put up this money and let's go half on the Sonics

Yes I feed lemon pepper, angel wings with the feathers

If you feel like I feel, I pray you live Rich Forever

Okay, let's buy back the block, I might buy me a Wendy's

Just to pull up on skinnies every Tuesday and Wednesdays

I might buy me 10 Denny's, I might buy Family Dollar

Cut it to 50 Cent, I got a job for your father

I'm tryna help with the rent, I came up from the strength

My lil son? he a prince, it's time that we represent"

- Rick Ross, "Buy Back the Block"

"Gotta bill a pension now so when I'm older

I can live when I can't get jobs"

- Wiley

Alot of rappers talk about money management and investing but in the street way, so really you can just take their drug dealing lyrics and apply them to everyday things.

@at the bolded. Good drop, but for every rapper that talks about investing and money management there's 20 rappers that talk about buying expensive jewelry, rims on their cars, driving Lamborginis and Ferraris, expensive kicks, the best weed money can buy and drinking Hennessy.

The youth try to follow their lead but its impossible because the rappers don't really have those things. Those cars, jewelry and the girls are all rented for the video. When you see a rapper with gold jewelry surrounded by fine women, the jewelry is rented and the girls are just models somebody hired for the video.

In the end, the teenagers try to sell drugs and commit crime to be like their favorite rapper and inevitably end up in jail.

But what if more rappers rapped about going to college and investing in the stock market? I mean specific, detailed lyrics about the different types of investments (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, index funds, utility stocks/bonds, transportation stocks/bonds and international index funds). How to buy a stock. I mean literally what website to go to and spell out the web page and the link and what button to press on the keyboard to navigate the website so you can invest your money without using a stockbroker and/or financial planner.

^^^ Have you ever heard a song like that?

I mean something as detailed as the 10 Crack Commandments, but talking about investing money.

In all seriousness, he dropped more knowledge than 99% of rappers I've ever heard that claim to be "dropping knowledge".
