I don't think you used "consistent" correctly there, but the aforementioned approach has worked well for me.

I have a much better idea of my capabilities, intentions, and desires than anyone else does.

So although my peers may look at what I've accomplished and say I should be pleased; exceeding others' expectations is not good enough for me.

It doesn't matter brah, when an individual does not want to be pushed or doesn't have it within him to be pushed, nothing you do will change that. I grew up in a house where there was a church service held everyday of the week with people praying to some god. Very early from childhood into adulthood, family and friends know not to bother me with that ish.
