Aight so if I give you Lil' Fate, I know you ain't trying to argue Tity's nicer than I-20. Never understand why he didn't blow.

2 chainz is a phenomenon, he was everywhere before I started paying attention and when I realized he was wack ass tity boi I was like

wait-what.gif

From DTP days I thought this nigga will never blow with that name, nigga couldn't even get a guest spot until chicken n beer.

I remember hearing the Tity Boi name back on Luda albums.. but never paid attention to if he could rap.. but yeah I guess his "revival" is something else.. to this day I don't know a 2 Chainz track but obviously has a big fanbase

Word to wayne. And nas maybe? The jay beef lit a fire under his ass.

nas was still going plat before the jay beef, i would say jim jones had such a come up

Wayne easily. There was a time when he wasn't being taken seriously, and after reinventing himself and putting out mixtapes, dude became a superstar.

The same can be argued for MF Doom. He was in KMD, got dropped, was homeless, and then became an underground success.

@dwade206 Yeah Lil' Wayne came to mind.

I think the namechange did alot for him. He was everywhere a while ago. I don't know if he'll be able to maintain this though, but I wish him all the best eventhough I'm not a fan of his material and what he stands for.

Was going to say him and maybe Pharoahe Monch.

What about 2pac (hear me out)? Started out as a roadie to Digital Underground. N*ggas wasn't really feeling him when he was rapping in dashiki's like Xclan, talking about social injustice and black empowerment. Chronic came out and Dre said "no medallions, dreadlocks or blackfists...". Pac had to reinvent himself and started rapping about gangsta sh*t which was hot at that time. Pac rose up to become the most popular and most influential rapper after he switched his style and started claiming sh*t he didn't grow up on...
