its not just that though...there's people who really can't appreciate a good song unless it's some super lyrical shit which isn't always needed to make a good record...some niggas will disregard a good rapper because hes not a punchline type MC...

Granted... Dudes like Canibus and Papoose are the other side of the spectrum, and they annoy me equally. Somewhere between then and now we lost a balance. People hated on LL, but you'd be a fool to say his pen game wasn't on point, plus his songs were dope. Now, you either got subpar rappers with dope beats that dominate the culture (the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum), and rappers with good punches but can't make a song for shit. As far as Meek goes, I've been following him since the battle days and the Flamers series. I'm disappointed at how low he dropped. I dunno T/S's motive for making this thread, but he has a point. Aside from his charisma and flow, there isn't much to him lyrically.
