First of all how was Tupac in limbo at Interscope when MATW was #1 on the charts while he was in jail?? Plus Death Row was on Interscope at the time.

Why would Suge allow Tupac to languish in jail for 11 months before he bailed him out?? How would Suge know Tupac wouldnt be able to make his own bail within that 11 month time frame??

A more reasonable theory is that Diddy brought Tupac out here knowing he would be killed.

The Interscope brass was getting sick and tired of Pac getting in trouble with the law and he was in jail when Suge started fucking with him. Pac had a bunch of law suits and cases against him around that time, he was becoming a nuisance to Interscope records.

Pac didn't have the money to bail his self out of prison, i thought his was fucking common knowledge nigga. As for why languish in prison, duh to obviously make Pac feel like no one had his back and looking out for him.

What if Russel Simmons bails him out in exchange for a 3 album deal and puts him on Def Jam who already had Slick Rick who was coming out of jail for double attempted murder? Master P. sign him in exchange for bail?

I think seems most plausible is Suge was already aware of the Biggie/Tupac tension... and already had no interest in playing second fiddle to Bad Boy over on the East... so bailed out Pac, signed him to Deathrow, as all he could see, was that without a doubt he was about to make some major money off of Pac and the tensions brewing

What you may forgot is Pac was going to the pen regardless, it don't matter if he got shot or not. He was going to do time and he had no money to get out once bail day came. He would have had to sign with someone and Suge was the only one at the time making him a offer. Pac was in a coner, he wanted to get out of and make music and movies, before the train passed by. So him getting shot had no bearing on him signing with DR, it was a money issue and a easy get out of jail card.

Suge had been trying to sign Pac since 1993...his brother Mopream mentioned it in a documentary. Pac had heard the stories coming from DR and the reputation Suge had, so he declined. Suge gave Pac a nice cheque for the Above The Rim ST, so they were always cool and also Pac knew everyone on DR prior to joining.

Even if Suge had Pac shot, that doesnt mean he would have blamed badboy, or biggy etc....like You'd have to be a psychic to predict the outcome of the shooting. NIgga sgive Suge far too much credit.

Suge never bailed Pac out of jail....Atlantic Records put up 800,000 and Interscope put up a certain amount.

Atlantic Records a subsidiary of Time Warner agreed to put up $850,000 of the $1.4 million bail set on Shakur by an appellate court judge Tuesday. The bail would allow Shakur to stay out of prison while he appeals his January conviction.

A spokeswoman for Interscope Records, the Atlantic subsidiary that Shakur records for, maintained that the bail was nothing more than an advance of money owed to the rapper.

"This is really [Tupac's] money, and we're directing it where he would like it to go," said spokeswoman Lori Earl. "It's an advance against royalties.

"He sold over 1.5 million copies of his current album ['Me Against the World'], " she said. "So at his request, they're putting it toward his bail."

The explanation meant little to some.
