Mass should be starting and should never drop into coverage. He had a good game today as far as applying pressure and getting some TFL. They need to just move back to the 4-3. Im tired of seeing Babs, Mass, Peters etc drop into coverage in this dumb ass hybrid defense. Hate having only 2 true LB's on the field also, I just hate the nickle being our base D.....
Thomas D needs his ass kicked before he is fired. A firing just isnt enough of a punishment for this team he put together, especially the defense. We have never had depth and try to fill holes with 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and undrafted FA's instead of being active in FA. He likes to just sleep and pick through whats left. I hate that shit.....

He's a rookie playing injured. That's a double negative right there. Slide him back over to RT next season & he'll be fine like he was at the start of this year. The starting LG & LT will be back next season. Our 3rd string Center didn't help much either. While I agree that Hawley isn't nowhere near the best, he does his job. They're not great but serviceable when healthy. It's just time to move on from this coaching staff & GM. Better talent evaluations is a huge priority. We have to sign someone who doesn't sign so many injury proned players.
Like I said earlier, 1 or 2 new O-linemen and 4 new players on the front 7 will improve this squad. The Devin Hester signing was dumb as fuck. I said it in the offseason and i'll say it again.
That money could've been used on the front 7. The money spent on Weems was a waste. That nigga doesn't even play. Why are we spending all of this fucking on "play-makers" that result in 7 points? It's bullshit.....EVERYBODY in the WORLD knew that we needed a pass-rusher and they signed 2 WRs and Tyson Jackson(useless). The money spent on all three of them could've been used for a player to put pressure on the QB along with Mass and Osi(who barely fucking plays because of our dumbass coaches).
I still like the Hester signing but I feel you..... I have been screaming for defensive help for years. I still hate that we went into this year with 2 UDFA LBs as our starters especially when I heard we would be in the nickel a lot.

They need to rebuild the OL through FA and rebuild the front 7 through the draft (starting with drafting the Pass rusher in numbaz avi).
They need to cut Jax too cause at this point he's just taking snaps away from better players.

The Falcons placed center Peter Konz, who didn’t make the trip with the team to London, on injured reserved and signed veteran offensive lineman Jonathan Scott today.
Konz suffered a knee injury in the first quarter against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. He returned to Atlanta to get a MRI, which revealed he needed season-ending surgery.
