Yeah, but when it comes to promising UDFA WR's I don't get too excited cause I know Smitty won't keep'em.

But not LB's and O-linemen tho. Oh nah.

Let it be some UDFA bootleg Keith Brooking LB or blob ass lazy OT and we'll give them nikkas a 4-year guaranteed deal before camp is over.

Po Rumph. He gon' be cupcake forever. No matter what he do. lol

Nice episode. I like all the scrappin' and shit. Good to see Spoon will be on the next episode.

Dezmen Southward with that Armstrong impression had me dying.

I guess Southward is our less-corny version of Decoud.

Yeah, I ain't mad at Smith or any of the youngin's bucking. Hawley don't have enough stripes to get respect.

Plus - like my high school coach used to say (who was a Pro Bowl Safety in his day) "Fight between the whistles."

Beating a nikka during a play will inflict waaaaay more damage on his soul and livelihood than punching him in the face.

He keep getting beat between the whistles he'll be cleaning out his locker and you'll be buying a house like WillyMo eventually.

And shout out to Tice and Cox. I love those two hires.

I think we got a LB Curse for cutting Brian Banks last year.

Marquis Spruill (5th round pick) out of the year with ACL. Smh.

The "Good" and the "Bad" from Camp yesterday from the Falcoholic...

The Good

Desmond Trufant is a remarkable young player. During training camp in his rookie season, what stood out to me about Trufant as he tried to adjust to the speed of the game was his desire to go up against Roddy White or Julio Jones on every practice snap. Today I watched Trufant find some space in the media box to fine tune his footwork while special teams drills were occurring. He is already a good young corner, and is having a solid training camp, but he's still working hard each day to improve. Trufant did have a nice pick in 11-on-11s on Wednesday.

Kemal Ishmael is coming along nicely. He looks comfortable in the scheme and draws praise from the coaching staff pretty consistently.

Devin Hester had a very pretty diving catch on Wednesday. His chemistry with Matt Ryan appears to be quite good.

Levine Toilolo is looking really good in the red zone. He made another beautiful catch on a Matt Ryan pass into the end zone today. I could see him really developing into a remarkable red zone weapon.

Devonta Freeman is successfully developing his pass protection skills. Toward the end of practice I was particularly impressed with how his technique has progressed. He looked pretty effective in pass protection situations.

The Bad

I saw some technique issues with defensive backs that I didn't love. Josh Wilson didn't turn his head to look for the ball in coverage a couple of times, and once Robert McClain was playing too far off his man and allowed an easy sideline completion.

Pad level also remained too high on both sides of the ball for much of practice. That's a work in progress.

Toward the end of practice, the Falcons trotted Ryan Schrader out as an eligible receiver in a jumbo tight end situation, and it looked like Schraeder didn't get to where he needed to be. The ball sailed over his head. It's not a bad play call, but it probably needs some fine tuning.

Good to hear that about Shawty-Lo. That's why he's in the league. And I guess we're going to give Hester a real shot at making an impact on offense.

Took my nephews to see practice Thursday.

Tried to pay more attention to the linemen this time around. Didnt really see a lot that stood out. Took a few good pics.

-Freeman looked better. He broke away a few times, hes faster than I thought.

-Jake Matthews looks like he gonna be the real deal. He is big as shit

-Saw Julio beat up on Tru some more but I saw Tru make a few plays. He picked Ryan off on a pass to Hester and Alford made a nice breakup on a deep pass to Roddy. I think our secondary is going to be legit if our safeties are healthy. Better than some people are predicting.

-Julio and Ryan connected a bunch of times. Looked good in 7 on 7.

-Schraeder got into two more fights. Ran all the way across the field to jump in Arenas face for knocking Freeman down which started a bunch of pushing and shoving.

-I saw the Spruill injury. Came on a run play close to the end of practice.

-Saw some passes go Toilolo's way. Looks like he has worked on his blocking. I think he may be more involved in the offense than we think.

-Interested now to see how a lot of these guys look tonight when they are in live action. Starr, Shembo and Ishmael were flying around during practice. Wanna see what happens tonight.

Shit gets semi-real tonight. Super real for the nikkas trying to make the squad or move up the chart.

All I want is for everybody to be upright when it's over.

Julio probably won't play tho. Wanna see if the hype around player's like Reedy, Jodeci, and Matthews is legit.
