Ye's best album

my personal #1 album of all time

This shit was flawless

This was Ye at his peak IMO

Although I can see how someone could argue for MBDTF

But this was a different time, he was just coming into his own as a star rapper

The live orchestra, lawd... shit was GOAT

drop those gems

It also introduced the world to Lupe The Goat

This album was perfect.

Legendary ... remember getting this the day it leaked and bumping it the whole freeway ride back from my grandmothers house .. hella early in the moring ... just being blown away at the production quality and intricacies... this to me is his best album without question ... might be my personal favorite album of all time

cant forget about the great Nia Long tho

"I know who you are I just I just said ya name" this skit is classic. So classic, Evil Kenevil sued him!

I slept on this album at first.

But when I took time to listen to it, I had to go to FYE to cop this joint. Some of the man's best work.........

Kanye West last true Dope Hip Hop LP

MBDTF=Dope but Experimental

And Late Registration wasnt?

He incorporated Jon Brion who never made any kinda hip-hop music before, to work with him

He had a live orchestra during recording sessions

He had string arrangements and everything

This was the beginning of Kanye experimenting and evolving.

This album was dope as fuck! Remember buying two copies when it dropped. I can't say its better than MBDTF. To me, that's his dopest album, but LR?? Classic album, classic songs. Ye mastered the strings and instruments in a way never heard on a rap album before. I remember thinking he might fuck around and catch an L on his sophomore album after the classic CD. This nigga killed it and continued to build a GOAT worthy catalog

@IceBergTaylor

Dr. Dre has been using live instrumentation on Doggystyle and I think the Chronic also.

Too Short personally played the Bass lines on his first LP.

orchestras musicians on Chronic 2001

College Dropout had string arrangements also Kanye West in Scratch magazine said he wanted to release a remastered College Dropout to highlight thlse strings.

MBDTF pushed the boundries of the Rap album as we know it with its fluid song arrangement and sound laandscapes.

That was album that really made me embrace Kanye. I wasn't feeling College Dropout at first, Kane annoyed me as a rapper and it took some years to get into this work. LR was stunning record from the beginning and he definitely improved his rapping skills . Can't believe it's been almost 10 years.
