Album went downhill after "do you wanna ride"

Recovers at Beach Chair and then it's over. Struggle album.

ETA: I forgot about Trouble. That was ok too.

Beach chair, do you wanna ride and lost ones are a couple of my favorite Jay tracks and I liked the grown man approach at the time, he had just squashed the beef with Nas, had that water 4 life thing on mtv and I could be wrong but didn’t he marry Beyoncé that year? This album was on par with where he was at in life but he still showed he could take it back and shit on these rappers if he had to with trouble and dig a hole, I like how he started trouble “I tried...I’m back”

i have a lot of mixed feelings when i think of "kingdom come". at first, i want to immediately write it off as a bad hov album until i realize how good it really is. the problem with it is that this was his COMEBACK album...the expectation level was crazy. if you peel back that layer of it, you can enjoy the album's highlights for what they are. as a comeback album, it falls short of the mark.

the prelude

kingdom come

show me what you got

dig a hole

trouble

beach chair

all dope records if you ask me. the prelude doesnt get enough credit as an intro.

I must be the only nigga on the planet who really loves that "Anything" track with Usher. Shit sounded like it should've been on Blueprint 2. Everytime I try to turn that song on niggas damn near throw my computer out the window
