Leadership is responsibility.

There comes a point when one must make a decision. Are YOU willing to do what it takes to push the right buttons to elevate those around you? If the answer is YES, are you willing to push the right buttons even if it means being perceived as the villain? Here's where the true responsibility of being a leader lies. Sometimes you must prioritize the success of the team ahead of how your own image is perceived. The ability to elevate those around you is more than simply sharing the ball or making teammates feel a certain level of comfort. It's pushing them to find their inner beast, even if they end up resenting you for it at the time.

I'd rather be perceived as a winner than a good teammate. I wish they both went hand in hand all the time but that's just not reality. I have nothing in common with lazy people who blame others for their lack of success. Great things come from hard work and perseverance. No excuses.

This is my way. It might not be right for YOU but all I can do is share my thoughts. It’s on YOU to figure out which leadership style suits you best.

Will check back in with you soon.. Till then

Mamba out

This is going on statue outside of Staples. If not, I'll go there and carve it in my fucking self. True boss shit.

Every leader should take this quote, change words to fit their work and run with it. [/stan]

Great article drop, T/S. Bill Simmons hates he likes Kobe but he has no choice.

that nikka is the biggest celtic homer on earth. his GOAT list has BIRD above Duncan and Kobe and also has Russell above Kareem, this is why i can't take him serious..... Bird played with the original Duncan (mchale) and Kobe longevity and ability to win without Shaq trumps all Magic rings that was assisted by GOAT Kareem..ok my rant over.

great article...not just about Mamba but it opened my eyes a little on why so many people revel on Russell's career. Us young fans can't appreciate these legends until article and infos like these come out

Lol besides his all-time list, I'm sure you can't find much to complain about the article. Thought it was a great article.

The Celtics fan thing is a part of his deal, but as far as his all-time list, was that supposed to be Celtic-centric? He put Magic above Bird and Russell won 11 'ships as a integral part of his teams. Flip a few players and he'd be a Lakers homer. Just know that they are all in that hierarchy somewhere, the order isn't that important really.

Russell won 11 fucking titles, played Wilt on some Marlo/Prop Joe ish, and refused to sign white people's autographs.

Respect that man.

from the article:

"That list currently looks like this: Jordan, then Russell, then Kareem, then Magic/Bird, then Wilt, then Kobe/Duncan (or Duncan/Kobe), then West/Oscar, then Hakeem/Shaq/Moses. With LeBron lurking in there somewhere. We just don't know where yet."
