A wise man once said "black people operate socially based on how they feel about you, white people operate socially based on how you make them feel".
Obamas dark skin made many white conservatives internally confront their racism and prejudices. That made many of them feel a way.
Black people been okay with praying to white Jesus for years. I don't subscribe to it but By and large the masses of blacks have accepted white Jesus as lord. If you replace every picture of in the world with a black Jesus, white people will have a hard time adjusting and swear it's racially divisive because "it's happening to them and they don't like it".
