GAT DAMN!! @That Goodie Mo and Janelle

You can hear the whole album streaming for free at:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...d_t=201&pf_rd_p=1604452202&pf_rd_i=B00DYVUC00

I'm checking it out now.

Update:

Went through the album and it's disappointing. It's got Cee-Lo's fingerprints all over it. And not rappin' ass Cee-Lo from the old Goodie albums, not even the Cee-Lo from his solo albums. This is basically a Goodie Mob album as led by a Gnarls Barkley/The Voice Cee-Lo. It's got some good joints, but if you're expecting that good old Down South type rap, you aren't going to find it. I think it's comparable to Big Boi's last album. The rapping is good and nothing stands out as terrible, but the sound of it as a whole is probably far away from what anyone was expecting or hoping for.

That's disappointing

A brief song by song review:

U Don't Know What You Got - A great intro with Big Rube. Kinda makes you believe you're about to get that Old School Goodie.

State of the Art - The concept of the song is good, but this ain't really even a rap song to be honest. If you like Gnarls Barkley, you'll probably like this, but if you're looking for Goodie Mob, you'll be like WTF?

Power - See above. Basically a Gnarls Barkley type song f/ the rest of Goodie Mob.

Silence - Interlude

I'm Set - For some reason this track isn't available.

Vallelujiah - First good song. The beat is still a little different than you might expect, but the rapping and feel of the song is just what you'd expect from Goodie.

Pinstripes - Ya'll have heard this one already in this thread. Dope track.

Special Education - Same as Pinstripes.

Ghost of Gloria Goodchild - Track not available.

Kolors - This isn't even a rap song. It's spoken word to a beat. It's good for what it is, but not exactly what I was expecting to hear on this album.

Come As You Are - Same as State of the Art and Power.

Nexperiance - This is a Cee-Lo solo. I'm guessing this is a leftover track from one of Cee-Lo's projects. Sounds like something you'd expect from one of his first two solos. It's not bad, but again not what you expect on a Goodie Mob album.

The Both of Me - Track not available.

Balls - Interlude

Amy - Ummmm...I don't know what to say about this one. It's a song about a white girl, and it's another Cee-Lo solo. I'm starting to think that this was never really a Goodie Mob album, but a Cee-Lo solo that he let them hop on.

Understanding - This is a smooth track. I like it.

Uncle Red's Interlude - Track not available, but it's an interlude so who cares?

Father Time - This is a good track with a nice concept.

This isn't a Goodie Mob album. It's a Cee-Lo album f/ T Mo, Khujo, and Gipp. I was afraid this would be the case when they said Cee-Lo would be handling the album's direction. I wonder what the other dudes were thinking when they made this shit, but I suspect that this was an album that Cee-Lo already had in the works and he put them on it.

When Cee-Lo was actually rapping, he was one of my favorite MCs ever. That said, I think he just officially buried the Goodie Mob with this album.

That's real. Sun was super Nice.

This review is some what on point. The first 2 tracks were really the only ones I didnt like and theres 3 tracks we hvnt heard yet so Im gonna hold off on judgement.

This should leak anytime now huh?

Heard the 3 songs u couldnt hear in the other thread. Album is cool, nothing great. Only a 2 or 3 tracks I dont really like.

Yump i knew this album was going to be a fucking Cee Lo Goodie the Pop nigga ft Goodie Mob....SMH, I mean the nigga Ceelo is not going to fuck up that white man money at all.

I rather had a Goodie Mob album with out Ceelo with production from Organize Noize then this bullshit.

Ceelo just shit and pissed on the legacy of Goodie Mob this is a Ceelo album

ima check it out but i had a feeling this would be cee lo featuring the rest of goodie mob, i got that feeling when they kept playing that goodie mob song during the NBA playoffs but only mainly showed cee lo
