I don't care if you're a moderator. Plain and simply, you're wrong. The Golden Era of Hip Hop is and will always be from 1986-1991.
The reason why is because a new generation of groups came out circa 1986, a new style of rapping, a new style of production and the MCs from the older generation all fell by the wayside.
The same thing happened in 1991. The sample laws changed, the production styles changed, technology changed, the content of people's rhymes changed and the groups that were hot in that era fell by the wayside as a new generation of groups and rappers came in.
Also, The Ultimate Breaks and Beats series was released between 1986 and 1991. Those were the tools that many rap producers used to create their tracks.
@Goldie don't make a fool of yourself. This is an argument you can't win. You weren't there. I lived it. I know what I'm talking about.
