Im going with Gold, its been consistently valuable as long as anybody can remember. Its like Bill Burr say, if you go to buy a sandwich with no money but a piece of gold, they gone look at you and say WTF, but you definitely gone get something to eat.

Gold, diamonds and platinum do not have as much practical value and use, they are useful, but gold trumps them by far.

I agree with Sion. Unless you're 60ish and up and ready to start selling, a fluctuating market is nothing to worry about. Mutual funds have averaged 10% annually over the past 50 years...through wars, natural disasters, oil spills, etc etc etc. That's how the banks rape broke, uneducated people.
