I was watchin Time Is Illmatic thinkin dam AZ mighta had the best verse on Illmatic. and then I start thinkin that could be the best verse ever....but thats a hard thing to say for sure

You could make a strong argument that AZ's verse on Life's a B!tch is the Goat verse, although when I read the thread title the first thing that came to mind was Nas's 3rd verse on One Love.

i def agree with that. Nas last verse on One Love is right up there with AZ's. and could be the GOAT verse as well. co-sign Rebel INS verse on Triumph too.

^^^^^I just counted the bars. That verse has 28 bars.

This is going off topic but we usually think of bars being divisible by 4 with 16 and 24 bars being common.

I know Biggies last verse in the One More Chance (remix) was 12 bars
