Face in my top 5 DOA but "body in the trunk" is perfection,

from the beat, lyrics, delivery, and the story that was told..

Nore and NAS rap a story all the way through,

with every detail from the time Nore was at the mall and killed dude

to the time Nore took the body to NAS and asked him to help get rid of it,

to them dumping the body on the train tracks (the 7 line)..

This can really go either way,

but I have to go with "Body in the Trunk",

cause in my opinion it's a better story..

Just like a lot of these match ups, I'm expecting the radio single to beat the b-side track, eventhough it shouldn't. I wont be mad at MPTOM winning but there's atleast 5 songs that advanced solely due to their popularity and not the actual song.

Reason for my vote is each rapper had a story that fitted them. I know it's just a song but you could really picture that shit happening

Mind Playing Tricks isnt your average radio single

How many Scarface tracks they play on radio?

Anybody remotely familiar with hiphop has heard Mind Playin Tricks, it was on the billboard hot 100 and reached number 1 on the rap charts, with that said, its a dope storytelling song and one of the best in the tournament, my original statement was more so about the prior radio songs (regulate, today was a good day, etc) that aren't that great of a "storytelling" song, but beat out songs that were better due to people being more familiar with it.

Cosign even tho Goldie keeps tryn grind my gears

Need that director tourney up'd too in LCA

Ima restart/speed up the Director Tournament , cuz there was too many clear blowouts coming up, I didn't even feel like posting that shit. So Ima just use the 16 directors with the most votes and go from there. Ill start it back up tonight.

Yep. Glad the home Goldie wiped the dust off this tournament and got it restarted........LOL. The only thing missing is......

That's my shit, Ima add it to the tournament. It'll go against "passing me by " by pharcyde sometime this week.

Knowing how these niggas be voting in their "feelings", they (and their aliases) will probably vote against it just to fuck with you.......LOL

lol that was the only slot I had somewhat available , I had a filler song in there I know nobody would vote for by Royce, I think X has a better chance.

I make big money

I drive big cars

Everybody know me

It's like I'm a movie star

U let Nas down

This is stupid that Body in the trunk is getting blown out like this. Clearly its a better story. I get it that Ghetto boys are probably the sentimental favorite of the tourney but what about the vividness of the desciptive body in the trunk? What about the great interaction between Nas and Nore? Its a shame BITT is gonna lose and i love mind playing tricks on me (i partially blame Goldie for this thread right after Halloween fell on the weekend). No fair bruh! its almost like that signify Ghetto boy season.lol

Shit was introspective, personal, intense and of course a classic. As a kid, I didn't want to step foot in Houston because of this song.
