Jay resurrected Nas' career with Takeover and the whole beef.

50 didnt need all that.

hell, as wack as Ja is dude was doing more for Queens than Nas prior to 50 during the late 90s early 2000s

who has done as much in hip hop as 50 and happens to be from Queens?

no one

How old are you???

You do know that Nas revived the Queensbridge scene, right?

how did Nas revive the Queens scene?

if he did 50/Jay revived it again

First of all, I said Queensbridge.

Second, LL, ATCQ, & Run-DMC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>50 Cent.

Third of all, you need hip hop lessons.

Queensbridge was near a graveyard after KRS-1 bodied MC Shan

Nas came thru and dropped one of the greatest Hip Hop album in history

Queensbridge rappers flourished after that.

50's impact isn't greater than ATCQ, LL, Run-DMC, and etc for Queens.

i'm young but not high school currently young.

plus i have an old soul.

i prefer 70s and 80s music to music now.

i been here before

Nas will never make an album fucking with GRODT.

50 has done more for Queens than any Queens mc

@PK_TK_187 why you tripping? For someone who claims to admire old school hip hop, you don't seem to know much about it

You think Mobb Deep is mediocre? You think Jay-Z revived Queens, when he ain't even from there? And you have the nerve to say that Nas has never released an album that stands up to GRODT? SMH x 100. Fifty would be lucky to release an album as cherished and universally admired as Illmatic. Even he would tell you that.

Illmatic is average at best dude.

i've heard way better albums.

i listened to that shit for about a month straight.

shit was ok but no.

GRODT>>>>>Illmatic

its a fact Nas was having a bad time recently in hip hop.

Jay helped dude make a comeback in the mainstream again.

and yes dude, Mobb Deep mediocre just like UGK.

they get props more for how long they did what they did and when they did it.

If they were some new NY niggas we know they would be labeled trash

What do you mean "recently"? Nas' career fell off like thirteen years ago man. In the past decade, he's come out with seven quality albums - five of which have gone platinum. And yet you would have me believe that Jay-Z is responsible for all that? Yo you're making me mad confused dawg, straight up. It's not just your taste I question, it's your comprehension of hip hop history.

And if you ain't feelin Illmatic, that's fine. But I refuse to believe that a legend Nas has not delivered anything up to par with 50. You can't claim to love hip hop, and say nonsense like that. No way.

when i said recently i meant around the time of takeover a like a year or two before.

and people have different opinions of hip hop.

Nas can tell a good ass story but everything else is wack(not good) to me.

I dont just love Hip Hop, i love good music and Nas aint it for me

Not too long ago, you made a thread complaining about how the young are so lost when it comes to hip hop, because they have no respect for legends, and say ignorant shit like "Nas sucks."

PK_TK_187 said:
i hear kids saying shit like...

1. Jay Z sucks

2. A song only goes hard if it has Lil Wayne/2 Chainz

3. Nas sucks

more shit to be added later on

And yet here you are telling me the very same thing now? What's gotten you to change your mind all of a sudden? Did you bang your head and catch amnesia -- making you lose all the sense you had back in October, and causing you to mix up your history facts now?

It's okay kid, I know amnesia can be a terrible thing. It can take years to recover from shit like that yo Lol, So if you ever need someone to refresh your memory of hip hop, just hit D_Scholar up homey, or any of the other heads on this site. We're here for you man lol We can help you get better, and with any luck, help you regain your taste in music!

Gotta go with 50 cause of the impact and the Dre production alone!

what impact? aggressive rap pretty much died in the mainstream a year or two after 50 dropped

and I can't take this pktk dude seriously

Don't even bother man. If this kid knew better, he would know that Queens niggaz like LL and Run-DMC practically paved the way for 50 cent. Those guys were trail-blazers who gave hip-hop its first heavy-rotation singles and music videos, music awards, platinum plagues, and endorsements, etc.... And we can spend the whole day discussing the impact of cats like Marly Marl, Kool G Rap, Eric B., ATCQ, and Mobb Deep - just to name a few.

PK_TK, stop learning from fairy tales, and go read up on some basic Hip Hop 101. I'm starting to feel bad for you now.
