This is a tough one, cause they're both classics IMO. Clearly, GRODT has some amazing production and almost every song on that album is a banger! And it happens to have some dope features as well, coming from Eminem and members of G-unit. Overall, I think it's the more consistent of the two albums, but it really comes down to what you're looking for.
Stillmatic has more filler and weaker production -- no doubt -- but I prefer the songs on that album over GRODT. As much as I enjoy a a good beat and a catchy hook, those things can wear off pretty easily. It's really the lyrics and themes that keep me coming back for more. And Stillmatic is lyrically superior in almost every regard - in its storytelling (Onc Mic, Rewind, 2nd Childhood), diss songs (Ether, Da Bridge is Over) and even bragadacio (Intro, Flyest). Plus, I really enjoy the topical range that Nas has on there - with songs like Rule, Poison, and Every Ghetto. It's not the kind of album I'd play on at a party, but it's definitely the type of music I can listen to and enjoy when I'm chilling or working on a paper. Stillmatic just has a more timeless vibe for me!
