Looks interesting. Reminds me of Skeleton Key

How so? Love me some skeleton key...Voodoo wonderful my magic!!

Skeleton Key was one of the few films that i thought was actually scary. When I saw the trailer for this, I knew it would be on the same level...just had a feeling about it.

Finally got to see the movie last night. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. I woke up today with so many thoughts. ..like the story is filled with symbolism, but I wonder if stuff like this happens forreal.

he just got a 2 year deal with universal

Under the new deal, Universal is developing Peele’s next film, an untitled social thriller, which he will write, direct, and produce based on his original idea. In addition, Peele will also produce a wide range of movies for the studio through his Monkeypaw Productions, including several micro-budget projects with Jason Blum, as he did with “Get Out.”

“I’m incredibly honored to be partnering with Donna, Peter, and all of the brilliant folks at Universal,” Peele said. “I am thrilled to continue the work we started together on ‘Get Out’ — pushing the boundaries of storytelling, not only on the next film. but with all of Monkeypaw’s future projects.”

He aint learned yet? Lol

I just seen this again. I don't know how I missed the symbolism of him picking cotton out of the couch to plug his ears lol. Had that man picking cotton to save his life. That some subliminal shit straight out of one of his skits.

The sex slave joke was actually a real thing that happened. Just don't hear too much about it. Just like you don't hear about african slaves living alongside native americans mixing for hundreds of years. There's all kinds of untold history there.

Them all making comments on his build, asking all kinds of sports questions, and that one chick asking about his dick size, then the auction scene. All that was how they used to auction us off like animals. For breeding, working in the fields, lifting up heavy shit, and SEX SLAVES!! lol.

This movie did take the skeleton key's twist though. But I think that was done on purpose. Like he reversed the twist to fit his narrative for this movie. He did that shit perfectly.

Here is the controversial alternate ending. Seeing it now visually, would anyone have wanted Peele to use this one instead? Or should he have kept it the way it currently is?

I would have been cussing in the cinema with that ending. I was so happy the black man got out in the end. This alternate ending would be too depressing for me to cope with hahaha. Even though the black man escaped the white man still got him. Fuck that.

Nah, fuck a black man in an orange suit, especially after what he went through

This is how I thought it was going to end while watching.

Woulda been even more hard hitting and emotional with the alternate ending but I'll take an ending with him being okay any day

I like the symbolism of the first ending. During the entire film it was drummed into us how guilty he felt that his mum was left alone to die. He even showed compassion for the deer at the start .
