anybody still playing this? lol
Anyway, idk why i never played MyGm before, but this is where the real action is. Myplayer fuggin sucked this year. It had crazy potential but without the ability to change parameters in college and the storyline being super linear, there was practically no replay value imo
so, like i said, started a new MyGm and took over the home town Pelicans
Usually in these modes, i like to simulate the first year b/c i think the second year is when you get to really start to make an impact on the team. Meanwhile, i actually still do the day to day stuff for the most part. I dont do ANY trades (unless trades were actually done, in this case, the pels didnt have any) b/c i want my first year to be as close to the real life version of the team as possible
I played with injured rosters. The only downside to doing this is i couldnt simulate the injuries like in real life. i.e. i couldnt pick the parts of the year where the players were injured so, b/c AD was shut down a month ago, if you start a season with him using the injured rosters, i think he doesnt play the entire season. So, with that said, we ended up with the worst record, but i ended up with the 3rd pick.
I d/l some dudes draft class roster and was hoping to get Ben Simmons with the pick. WHen i saw i had the 3rd, i thought there was no way two teams were gonna pass on him, BUT
1. Washington Wizards - Dragon Bender
2. Indiana Pacers - Kris Dunn
3. New Orleans Pelicans - Ben Simmons
LAWD
rolled him out in summer league and i think it was the default sliders i was using, but using him was like using cheese. HE was so much faster than everyone else after getting a rebound.
Got through summer league and had my first game against the kings. went into double OT but pulled out the victory
My starting 5 looks like this
Jrue Holiday
JR Smith (FA signing)
Ben Simmons
Anthony Davis
Omer Asik (trying to move him)
Bench
Norris Cole (trying to move him too)
Sean Kilpatrick (dude is a crazy good 3pt shooter)
Tyreke Evans
Brandon Bass (FA signing)
Alexa Ajinca
