Well with today's ruling it becomes more plausible he gets convicted of something. The Jury is not just going to let him walk because in their eyes he initiated the contact. Even the most sympathetic juror who looks at his court demeanor and feels sorry for him would likely go for the lesser charge. If I'm a juror I'm saying to myself how does someone who has a gun start screaming for help. And if he was screaming, his background of police knowledge would lead me to believe he knew to yell in distress before pulling the trigger. Just as cops yell "drop your weapon" before firing their's. I would also be saying he dropped himself right into this equation the minute he decided to profile and follow against the better judgement of the police dispatcher. These points alone would lead me to find guilty and feel good about my decision.
