Lets be real here, Who really looks at Lil Wayne as a gangster rappper? I mean anybody? Of course he spit out "blood this" and "blood that" here and there but most of his music is a bunch of meaningless punchlines and "How to Love". Not gangster rap.

You got a point with Ross to a certain degree but I think what the T/S is trying to say is that gangster rap having a major impact on the industry is over with for now.

before that em and 50 were on top from 2000-2005

Lil weeny Wayne sangin to bitches all irritating and Drake sounding like Sade every got damn song, I mean shit is gayer these days than the shiny suit era when Dmx and the Ruff ryders had to save the rap game from that shit. Son....after a while u kinda run out of ways to shoot n kill niggas on a track.....I can't even count how many times Styles P "snatched ur wife" or "threw niggas off a roof"....shits mad redundant after a while...and I like Styles P....Wayne n Drake sing a bit much for me personally but they still got bars....at least they throw clever shit in their lines from time to time....we seen the evolution of gangsta rap music and it peaked at Get Rich or Die Trying (most overrated "classic")....nothing about Gangsta rap music pushes the bar musically and furthermore, there really isn't anything that hasn't been done with regards to Gangsta rap music from lyrics to apparel....it may come back but someone really gonna have to "DMX" the game again for it to be worthwhile
