Ganksta Nip joined the S.P.C. in late 1987 after he and K-Rino formed an alliance after years of competing against each other in battles around Houston. NIP started out in a group called "The Forever Def Crew". This group consisted of NIP and Klondike Kat. Ganksta Nip is the originator of the horror core rap style(the psycho style). Nip and another South Park legend, "K-Rock Def" mastered the style and Nip took it to the level it is at today. Ganksta Nip's 1st cd "South Park Psycho" put the S.P.C. name on the map in 1991 when it was released worldwide on rap-a-lot records. Nip is also known for writing the Geto Boys hit "Chuckie". His solo cd's are
South Park Psycho, Psychic Thoughts, Psychotic Genius, Interview With A Killer, Psycho Thug, The Originator, Return Of The Psychopath and Still Psycho). Is one of the best rapper alive. Horrorcore is a subgenre of hip hop music based on horror-themed and often darkly transgressive lyrical content and imagery. Its origins derived from certain hardcore hip hop and gangsta rap artists, such as the Geto Boys, who began to incorporate supernatural, occult, or psychological horror themes into their lyrics and, unlike most gangsta rap artists, pushed the violent content and imagery in their lyrics beyond the realm of realistic urban violence to the point where the violent lyrics became gruesome, ghoulish, unsettling, or slasher film or splatter film-esque. While exaggerated violence and the supernatural are common in horrorcore, the genre also frequently presents more realistic yet still disturbing portrayals of mental illness and drug abuse. Yes, The Geto Boys are the OG's, because of "Assassins" and "Mind Of A Lunatic".
Esham was the first to make it a whole style. He knows who influenced him, that's why he sampled them on his first release in '90.
NIP wasn't really an originator. Even Insane Poetry was before him.
