They both use deception and power tactics to get what they want. In essence Triggerfinger learned from the Lannisters, Pycelle, Varys and Tyrion. If people are going to go at Triggerfinger why not share the same animosity towards people like Tywin, Cersei, Varys or even Margery. Those 4 characters are great people but with horrible horrible flaws. Triggerfinger was only ambitious and did it out of a place of not wanting to be taken advantage of and dreams of raising his name. Tywin hated his own children and cared more about his legacy than his children, so much that he tried to kill Tyrion twice.

I feel that the perceptions of characters disrupt most viewers' perceptions which cause them to fail to see these things until it is visually presented. Everyone thought Robb was going to win but failed to see he had bad flaws and a brinkmanship approach to things. You're seeing that with Danearys even she's a conqueror and a ruthless bitch. But she's not very well seasoned in the courts. Most kings and queens don't die on the battlefield, but through treachery and schemes.

Tywin and cersei are NOT great people.

Aside from their flaws they are great people in a noble sense for what they've done for the realm. This is human nature live on television.
