yea that Arya getting shanked and tossed in the river but miraculously surviving shit was lame why stab her up and have her survive? should have just made it to where she escaped and went hideout at the actress place like she did all along

Even the shit at the actress place didnt make sense. She didnt kill the actress quietly and allowed an escape route for arya again

What's wrong with you niggas some of y'all can't take subtle hints

Many face god dude told the Waif not to let her suffer waif stabbed her up In a way to make her suffer

The Waif hated arya probably was jelous of her background she had no intentions of instantly killing her throughout the whole chase scene she was having fun watching arya struggle she never intended on giving her a quick death never

I didn't like that blackfish couldn't even get an onscreen death. Bruh was just like "yea he died fighting" smh. He was gonna die anyway but at least have him saying some G ass last words.

Exactly. No onscreen death of Arya's rival. No seeing how you she manages to outwit the GoTerminator. All that training, episodes waisted, with zero payoff.

lol the payoff was that bitch being dead. What the hell were you going to see anyway? Their fight was in the dark. Anyway, they did that to build tension. We didn't know who died up until Arya started talking. That said, we all probably knew Arya would win, which kinda shows how far this show has fallen off from the "Anyone can get it" feel it had before.

That doesn't make any sense at all

What doesn't make sense about it? At one point, they were killing off characters that were built up to be primary characters left and right. That has settled some. The major characters have been pretty safe. The one that they did kill (Jon) came back. My point was that the way they cut from the fight and went to the temple just showing traces of blood was meant to build up tension, but it didn't really work, at least for me, because I full expected that Arya survived. If it was Season 2 or 3, I wouldn't have had that expectation.

Of course you wouldnt have that expectation since season 1 and 2 had better writting. Drogo dies from an wound infection. But heres arya getting stabbed the fuck up. Doing parkour stunts the next day. Killin waif then taking her face all the way back while bleeding to tell jaken she has a name then casually walking off.

Like u said, nobody expecting Waif to defeat Arya so no suspense there as to whose face goes on wall. So the only thing you got left is seeing her kill the waif but even that they don't give you. Arya whole arc used to be one of the more interesting ones but has been boring the last couple of series. I get the fact that they are stalling and showing her development into an assassin so she can now go back home killing shit.

I think there are so many substories that they are struggling with pace to be honest this year. They are speeding too fast for some, skipping through others. It's becoming a bit too predictable.

I felt the same when sansa and theon got hemmed up in the first ep. Then brienne saved them at the last second I was confused as fuck.

THEN they made it to the wall in the same ep unscathed which is I think the only happy reunion in all of got. Jaime made it back to cersi but he had one hand and she didnt want him no more. Now ayra can't be killed by the same chick who been giving her work for weeks.

This season owes the many faced god a few lives by now

Like I said you don't make any sense expecting every major character in peril to die like they usually do is stupid there is nothing wrong with main characters actually survive conflict and there has been time they haven't died for the show to fall off in your eyes just because a character found a way to live is stupid the Waif is an assassin just like arya yall keep looking at

her like she just a child but she has been in training since season 1 she traped b the Waif into a situation where her little butter knife wouldn't amount to the tactical advantage of needle she also shut the lights off giving her even more of an advantage

Ayo b so you just gonna ignore that arya was stabbed the fuck up and lost liters of blood wandering the city? Drogo couldnt even ride a horse when his wound was infected. I have no problems when main characters surviving close calls but make it consistent through the series. Not some bullshit where a bitch becomes weapon x overnight or gets saved by some giant bitch in the middle of nowhere.

I don't like how Arya's arc this season has gone either. All the build up and mystique with the faceless assassins and she really hasn't progressed much further than where she was before she joined up. For me to believe she could beat the waif then just walk away from the faceless assassins unscathed she should have been a beast by the end of her training.

Plus they really didn't dive into much of the lore of the faceless assassins and they the most interesting group in the show. We're Jaqen and the waif the only 2? Didn't see any others.

I hope Jaqen shows up right when Arya about to slit Cercei's throat and reclaims the life owed to the many faced god. Would be fitting for a Lark.

Niggas your missing the whole point of the Waif wanting arya to suffer she knew where to stab her so she could still attempt to survive

People have survived far worse

I didn't say it was bad that every character in peril doesn't die. No one expects that. Nothing you said changes the fact that main characters now have a level of protection they didn't have before, so tricks used to build tension that would have worked in the first 2 or 3 seasons don't work now. If you don't understand that, I don't know what to tell you.
