From his actions I actually think he's really about what he told Little Finger years ago.

He has consistently always been on Daenerys side since season 1.

He knows he can't be king,so his game is to always be next to the throne

it was announced before the season that they weren't gonna be in it. i guess at the point in the books this season covered they weren't in it there either. or at least very little. they're still alive tho.

LOL this the same show where the main characters get killed off. Where random shit you never expect to happen, happens all the time. That would be some wack ass writing if varys was just a damn boot licker. Dude got waaay to much influence EVERYWHERE to just be some punk ass targaryen servant. Him and little finger are key figures in everything, behind the shadows. Little finger done had his air time and now it's varys turn. Something is kinda off about varys. That scene where he caught the wizard that cut his nuts off for the lord of the light. When he looked in the mirror and looked hella evil. That's when I knew that it was more to him than just gossip or being a servant.

as for varys, @ bolded read what i wrote. i said shit doesn't happen with people doing things contrary to their CHARACTERS. certain people's deaths were shocking but most of us have all seen this show from the beginning multiple times. when we go back to the beginning we see the signs leading up to it that we missed the first time. we've all discussed how ned & robb's character flaws is what did em in. nobody has become a completely different person in this show. "you was who you was 'fore you got here"

varys is a peace maintainer. LF is anarchy. they have both been this from the very beginning. nothing varys has done has gone against doing what's good for the realm. you won't see varys influence dany just to be like "GOTCHA BITCH I'M REALLY OUT HERE WORKING FOR THE WHITE WALKERS" or some shit...​
